Overview

This article is a practical reference of prompts you can type into WrkMate for image-related tasks. Each example is ready to copy and paste directly into the WrkMate chat. Adapt the subject matter, section name, or style details to match your site.

Finding a stock photo for a page section

WrkMate searches Unsplash and Pexels based on the subject and context you describe. Be specific about the mood or setting to get better results.

  • Find a stock photo of a mountain at sunset for my homepage hero section
  • Get me a photo of a friendly team working in an open-plan office for the about page
  • Find a high-quality stock image of fresh vegetables for the background of my recipe page
  • Search for a photo of a person using a laptop outdoors for the features section
  • Find a stock image of a coastal town at sunrise to use as the banner on my travel page
  • Get a photo of a modern kitchen for the hero background on my catering site

Using an existing uploaded image

If you have already uploaded images to your account, WrkMate can find and use them without fetching anything new. These prompts tell WrkMate to look at what you already have.

  • Use one of my existing uploaded images for the about section background
  • Check what images I have in my images folder and use the most suitable one for the homepage hero
  • I uploaded a logo last week. Use that in the top navigation bar
  • Use my existing team photo for the meet the team section
  • Find a suitable image from my images folder for the contact page header
  • Use my banner image for the top of the services page

Generating an image with AI

Use these prompts when you want a custom image that does not exist as a stock photo. Generation requires an OpenAI or Google Gemini key saved to your WrkMate settings.

  • Generate an AI image of a modern office with floor-to-ceiling windows and city views for my contact page
  • Create a custom illustration of a person working at a laptop with plants in the background
  • Generate an abstract blue and navy gradient background image for my hero section
  • Create an AI-generated image of a hand holding a glowing light bulb for the innovation section
  • Generate a flat-style illustration of a shopping cart with a checkmark for my checkout confirmation page
  • Create an AI image of a tropical beach at dusk in a painterly style for my travel homepage

Adding images to landing pages and specific sections

These prompts ask WrkMate to handle the image for a named section. It resolves the image first, then waits for your confirmation before adding it to the page.

  • Add a hero background image to the index.html homepage
  • Find an image for the features section on my services page and add it when I confirm
  • Get a photo for the testimonials section background on my landing page
  • Add a background image to the about section in about.html
  • Find a suitable image for the contact page header and show me the file path before you do anything
  • Get an image for each of the three feature cards on my homepage

Requesting multiple images for a page build

You can ask for several images in one request. WrkMate resolves them one at a time and lists the saved paths before asking you to confirm any page edits.

  • Find stock photos for the hero, the about section, and the contact section on my homepage. Show me all three paths before touching any files
  • Get images for all five service cards on services.html. Use stock photos and match each one to the service name on the card
  • Find a hero image, a features background, and a testimonials photo for my landing page build
  • Get separate images for each of the four steps in my how-it-works section
  • Find three different stock photos of coffee shop interiors for me to choose from

Specifying style, mood, colour, or subject matter

WrkMate passes your style notes directly to the stock search or generation prompt. The more specific you are, the closer the result will be to what you have in mind.

  • Find a stock photo of a forest in autumn colours, warm tones, soft focus background
  • Get a dark moody photo of a city at night with neon reflections for the hero
  • Find a bright, airy photo of a woman smiling outdoors in natural light for the testimonials section
  • Generate an abstract image in navy blue and white that could work as a full-width banner background
  • Find a minimalist flat-lay photo of a desk with a notebook, pen, and coffee mug
  • Get a high-contrast black and white photo of a construction site for the about section

Working with icons and favicons

WrkMate can generate small icons and favicon source files. For favicons, it generates a 1024x1024 PNG that you or your designer can then convert to .ico or .svg format.

  • Create a favicon source image for my site. The brand colour is navy blue and the site initial is E
  • Generate a simple icon of a shopping cart in white on a blue background for use in the navigation
  • Create a small icon of a leaf for use next to eco-friendly labels in my product list
  • Generate a favicon PNG for a bakery site. Use a croissant icon in a warm gold colour
  • Create a set of three icons representing speed, security, and support for my features section

Replacing or updating an existing image

If a page already has an image you want to swap out, tell WrkMate which file or section it is in. It will resolve a new image and confirm before overwriting the old file.

  • Replace the hero image on index.html with a new stock photo of a snowy mountain
  • The about section background in about.html is outdated. Find a more modern office photo and replace it
  • Swap the current team photo on the about page with a stock image of a diverse professional team
  • Update the contact page header image with something warmer and more welcoming
  • Replace images/hero-bg.jpg with a new landscape photo and update the reference in index.html

Checking what images are already on the site

Before requesting new images, you can ask WrkMate to list what is already in your images folder.

  • List all the images in my public_html/images folder
  • What image files do I have on my site?
  • Show me what is in the images directory
  • Check my images folder and tell me the file names and sizes
  • Are there any images already saved to my site that I could use for the homepage hero?
