Why Unlock?

Domain registrars lock domains by default to prevent unauthorised transfers. You need to unlock the domain and obtain the EPP/Auth code before transferring to EasWrk.

General Steps

  1. Log in to your current domain registrar.
  2. Find the domain in your account.
  3. Look for a Domain Lock or Transfer Lock setting.
  4. Disable/remove the lock.
  5. Find the EPP code (also called Auth code or Transfer code) — usually in the domain settings or available by email request.
  6. Use the EPP code when initiating the transfer at my.easwrk.com.

Registrar-Specific Notes

  • GoDaddy: Domain Lock toggle is under Domain Settings.
  • Namecheap: Go to Domain → Manage → Sharing & Transfer → Domain Lock.
  • Google Domains: Domain Settings → Transfer Out.
